Hi Friends --
This is it! The Linkery will exist at 30th and Upas for only seven more days. Our last day will be Sunday (May 18th), after that we're
closing the doors here and moving up the street to our new location at the corner of 30th and North Park Way.\rFor more about our new place, see our blog post at http://thelinkery.com/blog/?p=828 .\rWe're both sad and excited to be leaving this location. When we leased this space in May of 2004, the neighborhood and this corner were a lot sleepier, and I had no conception of the adventures we'd have as our business and community developed. Through being at this
location (in the heart of "NoSo") , we've met so many wonderful, fascinating and fun people, and our lives have been deeply enriched. We are very grateful to all of you.
So, this week we celebrate the 3.25 years we've spent serving food and drink here, and more importantly all the friends we've made while doing so. I hope you'll join us for one last toast in saying good-bye to the joint.
Plus, we're really counting on you to come in here and eat and drink all our inventory so we don't have to move it. Oh, and please don't
steal everything, we still need it for the new place.
In addition to a particularly festive atmosphere, we'll have some other unique offerings this week...\r* Max and Michael made "braise and merguez": pastured lamb served both braised and as a Merguez sausage. It's delicious. http://thelinkery.com/blog/?p=829\r* We made all-pastured chili dogs with pinquito beans and they are on the menu now: http://thelinkery.com/blog/?p=830\r* Le Freak from Green Flash is on cask, it's a combo Belgian and Imperial IPA .
* Wingshadows Hacienda is bursting with delicious lettuce, mezclun, carrots, cilantro, onions and real pastured-chicken eggs -- you'll
see their stuff all over the menu this week.\r* On Sunday, Michael and I will be tending bar, just like we did the first weekends we were open. I will be terrible at it, again in keeping with the spirit of nostalgia.\rWe're open every day through Sunday May 18th, from 5pm until at least 11pm, then we will close for a few days and re-open sometime later the next week at our new location, 3794 30th Street at North Park Way. We
think you will dig the new digs! Thanks everyone for letting us get to be a part of all this.\rBest,
Jay
